It is my great privilege to introduce you to my shaman teachers, The Tamayos. Here I am with Don Jorge, Don Esteban and Don Jose, all Yachak Andean Shaman of Ecuador. Don Esteban, to my immediate right, as you look at the picture, is the father of both Jorge, on my left and Jose, next to Esteban. The wisdom and power of shamanic work has been in their family for generations. As a young child Don Esteban was aware of his destiny to be a part of the Eagle and the Condor prophecy, which foretold of the time when the great spirit of the mind (eagle) would learn to fly with the spirit of the heart (condor) sharing in the wisdom and knowledge of the ancient earth healers. As he became a man and worked with the spirits of the land, he was shown through many visions how this would come to pass. That he would be a teacher of many people from a foreign land, I am one of those fortunate students. Since 1996 I have traveled to Ecuador and studied with shaman of the high Andes, the rainforest and the lowlands. I have done my most intensive study with the Tamayos over time, living with them and their family and becoming a healer in their village. During my intensives I have learned the traditional cleansing ceremonies used for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual illness. The Tamayos have married me to the sacred mountains of their land as part of my induction ceremony into the community of Yachak Shaman.

I have also studied shamanic journeying techniques with John Perkins and Michael Harner. In my private practice I will use shamanic journeywork, soul-retrieval, traditional Andean cleansing ceremonies and my own blend of intuitive healing based on all the indigenous teachings I have had the honor of learning to aid clients along their path of light.
