Meet the Shaman
The prophecy of the Condor and the Eagle is about this sharing of knowledge that can affect global change through learning more about honoring our Mother Earth. This prophecy is happening today on many levels and in many forms, to me it is my dream to be a part of sharing that knowledge and an honor that I have been given such a great opportunity to do so. Thank you for sharing my journey.
Background On The Tamayos – Andean Yachaks
Don Esteban Tamayo is a farmer in the sleepy Andean town of Carabuela, Ecuador. He is also a Yachak Shaman of the Andes, known as bird people healers.
It was while he was still in his mother's womb that he called out to the world and his Shamanic powers became apparent. Studying and honing his skills as a healer in the Incan tradition, he learned much of his skills from his mother.
Don Agustin Grefa & His Culture of Lowland Quichua or Naporunas
The Lowland Quichua are settled along the Napo River and many of its tributaries. Tena, Archidona and Istandi are located in the Higher Napo area. This whole region is known as an area of cultural encounters, since ancient times. This was a place of transition of large tribal migrations coming from both, south (Tupí Guaraní group) and north, (group known as the Caribes).
Don Alberto Taxo
Don Alberto Taxo is a Native Master Yachak (Wise Man) residing in the High Andes Mountains. A teacher and healer in the Panzeleo Cotopaxi Quichua tradition of Ecuador, he was appointed the highest honor of Master Yachak by the Shamanic Council of South America. Now, through ancient Andean practices, Don Alberto offers us an invitation to awaken our ability to feel the sacredness of every time, every place and every moment. This he refers to as the power of the Condor.
