Joyce Kendall - ERYT 500, Anusara-Inspired Instructor & Owner Earth Heart Yoga
![]() |
Yoga is a way of living more fully and consciously in every moment. Over the past 20 years my practice has shown the full spectrum of expression, from very consistent to absent. At the times in my life when I am very consistent in my practice I am clear, calm, grounded, feel stronger, healthier and manage my life with more grace and flow. When I am not consistent with my practice I find myself saying why am I not doing this? Why do I stop when I am noticeably more aligned on every level when I am practicing?
It was this question that brought me to further my commitment to my yoga practice by becoming an instructor and then opening Earth Heart Yoga. I have completed 500 hours of teacher training in accredited Hatha Yoga programs, receiving my certifications in both trainings and registering with the Yoga Alliance as a E-RYT500, registered Yoga Teacher. My first training was a 200 hour Integrated Yoga program through the Sanctuary of Universal Light in Meredith NH. Since then I have completed an additional Teacher Training Program in Anusara Based Yoga with Todd Norian, a 300 hour accredited program that has deepened my understanding of the scope and practice of yoga. I am currrently completing my training with John Friend to become an Anusara Certified Instructor, one of the highest standards in the industry.
When I went into my teacher-training programs, I set the intention to allow yoga to aid me in my ability to be fully conscious with what I already know as universal truths. Yoga has been that bridge for me; it has helped me to continually remember. Yoga has helped me to be a better teacher, not just of yoga, but also as an example of how to live well on the earth. These are the qualities I bring to my classes, individual sessions and training programs.

Colleen McCarthy - Hatha Yoga Instructor
![]() |
Colleen's earliest memory of a yoga practice is from age six, when she spent most of her free time in Sirsasana (headstand), assisted by a couch. From there she competed in gymnastics, then high school athletics, and after that embraced yoga for its non-competitive nature.
Over the last five years of practicing in Concord, Cambridge, and Laconia, her style has been influenced by local teachers and students from various lineages, notably Ashtanga, Kundalini, and Anusara. She learns Karma Yoga from Mom.
In 2007 she began her teacher-training with Earth Heart Yoga and will be certified in Hatha Yoga in Spring of 08.
Colleen's goal in life used to be to make people happy then she learned she cannot do that. But she can teach a path to happiness…and that is Yoga. Jai!!
