Joyce Kendall - E-RYT500, Director Teacher Training Program, Anusara- Inspired™ Instructor

Yoga is a way of living more fully and consciously in every moment. Over the past 20 years my practice has shown the full spectrum of expression, from very consistent to absent. At the times in my life when I am very consistent in my practice I am clear, calm, grounded, feel stronger, healthier and manage my life with more grace and flow. When I am not consistent with my practice I find myself saying why am I not doing this? Why do I stop when I am noticeably more aligned on every level when I am practicing?
It was this question that brought me to further my commitment to my yoga practice by becoming an instructor and then opening Earth Heart Yoga. I have completed 500 hours of teacher training in accredited Hatha Yoga programs, receiving my certifications in both trainings and registering with the Yoga Alliance as a E-RYT500, experienced registered Yoga Teacher. My first training was a 200 hour Integrated Yoga program through the Sanctuary of Universal Light in Meredith NH. Since then I have completed an additional Teacher Training Program in Anusara Based Yoga with Todd Norian, a 300 hour accredited program that has deepened my understanding of the scope and practice of yoga. I am currently completing my studies with John Friend towards a fully Certified Anusara Yoga® instructor.
When I went into my teacher-training programs, I set the intention to allow yoga to aid me in my ability to be fully conscious with what I already know as universal truths. Yoga has been that bridge for me; it has helped me to continually remember. Yoga has helped me to be a better teacher, not just of yoga, but also as an example of how to live well on the earth. These are the qualities I bring to my classes, individual sessions and teacher trainings.
