Since I can remember I have had my hands in the soil, my love of the forest and all the plant spirits that live there was something I have felt in me since I could give it words. This deep connection with plant medicine and the spirits of the plants fostered my years of self-study. After years of self taught practice I began formalizing my studies and completed an Advanced Apprenticeship program with well-known herbalist Rosemary Gladstar at her Sage Mountain Herbal School in Vermont. Here I am on Sage Mountain during one of many wonderful weekends of exploration during our course in the Science and Art of Herbology. It was on this magical mountain that I have had the privilege to study with many of the elite in the field, including Matthew Wood, Christopher Hobbs, Cascade Anderson-Gellar, David Winston, Steven Harrod Buhner, and Candace Cantin Packard to name a few. My joy and knowledge of the plant spirits continues to grow while I hand craft medicines in the form of tinctures, teas, salves, liniments and cosmetic formulas with organic or ethically wild-crafted herbs. I continue to expand my herbal knowledge through my clinical practice, self-study and formalized classes in all aspects of herbal medicine. As I have come to understand there is no end to the depth of knowledge that we can learn from our plant friends, it is a life-long passion.
